Originally chartered in 1958, First Federal Bank is the oldest locally owned financial institution in Harnett County. First Federal opened its doors for business in Dunn, North Carolina, on January 20, 1959.
The bank now has additional branches in Angier, Erwin, Benson, Fuquay-Varina, and Clayton, as well as a Mortgage office in Dunn. In April 2003, we officially changed our name to First Federal Bank, reflecting our transition from a traditional savings bank that provided mortgage loans and time deposits, to a full-service community bank.
